It will be hard to stop the climate industrial complex. It is harder than the military industrial complex because of the smugness of the climate industrial complex and they are "going to do good for us"

Yes, the way forward is N2N, nat gas to nuclear. But I'm repeatedly amazed the German political class somehow thought replacing nuclear with COAL was rational climate policy. The Germans will be all in on coal for a decade, unless Russian gas comes back via some geo-political miracle.

If I had major F-you money, I'd try to embarrass the Germans with a Simon-Ehrlich type wager regarding their coal use. Maybe a $1 million (at 10 to 1) that German coal doesn't decline for a 5+ years.

Most likely, there would be no takers. Greens and enviros only like risking (and spending) other people's money.
